Aloha 8th graders! Along with the many new things that your are going to encounter this year on your team, another focus will be preparation for high school. In general, here are some tips to help you get to high school as you work through your final year in middle school:

2) Prepare! Familiarize yourself with high school. A good place to start is the Kamehameha High School website. There you will be able to access the Catalog of Courses which provides a description of every course that's offered in high school, and other kinds of important information about our high school. Talk to your older siblings or other friends who are currently in high school, either here or any other high school, to get an idea of high school life. Another great idea is to start looking at different collegesthat you might be interested in attending. Colleges can provide you with a lot of information that will benefit your later college decisions. Choosing a challenging high school courseload will also assist in your preparation for college.
3) Seek assistance! We certainly do not expect you to do all of this by yourself. Although the everyday effort and commitment is yours alone, you have many resources to assist you. Your parents, your teachers, your advisor, your counselor, your older brother and sisters, aunty, uncle - the list goes on! There are many sources of help for you out there. It's just a matter of asking!
